Summary
This talk shares the WHY story matters and examines the science behind how the human brain behaves. Effective Communication is critical in business and telling stories is a modern-day business necessity. There is a lot of noise and clutter to cut through to be heard and using stories can help both capture and maintain an audience's attention. This talk will share examples of the impact of telling stories rather than simply giving information as well as providing a simple and effective format for telling compelling stories that the audience can implement immediately.

Geoffrey Klein, President & CEO, Nine Dots
Geoffrey Klein, the Story Guy, is a Tedx speaker, an adjunct professor, and a visual content producer who helps people and organizations communicate more effectively through the power of story. He currently serves as President & CEO of nine dots, a visual content company that helps businesses share their message through visual communication to connect with their audience. Geoffrey’s diverse professional experience includes working in the film industry, where he worked on films such as the Truman Show, Mission Impossible 2, Legally Blonde, and Die Another Day. He also spent 10 years living in Manchester, England where he worked in both real estate and at a creative design agency. Geoffrey is a Google Trusted Photographer and is certified in both content marketing and social media. Geoffrey has been a TEDx speaker and has guest lectured at Manchester Metropolitan University, Drexel University, Hussian College, and presented programs to WeWork, CareersPHL, Intelligent Office, City-Coho, and the Small Business Expo. Geoffrey currently serves as an adjunct professor at Temple University’s School of Media & Communications. Geoffrey has a bachelor’s degree from Amherst College and a law degree from Temple University. Geoffrey is a gadget and cufflinks enthusiast, a Pez dispenser collector, and in his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, whether it’s baking, basketball or board games.
